How Coaching Works

Every student is different, so coaching begins with understanding the student’s strengths, challenges, and goals. From there, we build systems and strategies that work for that individual student.

What does an executive function coach do? A typical engagement includes:

Initial Consultation

A conversation with the student and family to understand the challenges they are facing and whether coaching is a good fit.

Weekly Coaching Sessions

Regular one-on-one sessions focused on building organization systems, time management strategies, and study habits. Sessions are available in person or via Zoom.

Practical Tools and Routines

Students learn strategies they can apply immediately to their schoolwork — concrete habits that fit their daily life.

Parent Communication

Families stay informed through regular updates. As coaching progresses, students take increasing ownership of their work, which is always the goal.

What Families Say

“Faith has been a phenomenal support both for my son and for us as parents. She works with the school directly as well, which has been invaluable.”

“We would not have made it through these five years without Faith. Her unwavering support and commitment to our son has been incredible.”

“Without Faith, my child would not have gotten into college. The first person our daughter wanted to share her acceptance with was Faith!”

“Faith’s concern for my son’s emotional health and well-being in addition to schoolwork has been above and beyond. She knows when to push and when to give him a break.”

“Everyone needs a Ms. Pine in their lives.”

“You believe in me. Without you, I wouldn’t be who I am today.”
